Book Review Sites
(for readers)
This page is for readers as well as writers. I'll be recommending some of my favourite go-to places to find a good book to read or to check on a title before I make a purchase.
Some of these links will be to sites that aren't necessarily review sites persay, but do talk about books and authors, and from where I've found fiction and non-fiction that stretches my reading brain.
The sites, like my reading, will be varied. Let's stretch together.
The AWW provides monthly review round-ups across a variety of genres and categories. As the name suggests, all the authors featured are female and Australian. They have piles of reviews (thousands) so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something good to read from among their files.
They also have a read/review challenge where the reader signs up to read and provide reviews over the year. This not only helps to promote women writers, but also ensures there is a great supply of fresh content - and lots more book recommendations for the rest of us.
