I don't live a wildly exciting, passionate life full of all the ups and downs and see-sawing emotions that I sometimes need to write about. So to make up for the extremes I haven't experienced, I refer to The Emotion Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi.
This guide is great for exploring body language and getting you out of the whole "show don't tell" hole you may written yourself into.
